Rossiter FAQ's
What is a Rossiter Coach and why do I need one?
Rossiter is a team approach. It takes one person (the coach) to guide you through the stretches and one person (you) the Person in Charge of your body (PIC) to provide the movement that stretches out your tightness and pain.
How it works:
You and a Rossiter Coach work together to double your body's pain-relieving results. You know where your pain is, and your Coach uses knowledge of connective tissue to help you get the best, most powerful stretch possible.
Why it's different:
The Rossiter System® targets your body's connective tissue, which tightens and shortens from age, overuse and injury. Rossiter Workouts stretch you from the inside out, giving you back the 'space' your body needs to function without pain or tightness.
What a workout is like:
You lie on a floor on a mat, fully clothed. Your Rossiter Coach adds weight with their foot to anchor your tissue in place while you hunt for pain and stretch your body with power. YOU are in control of the session.
The results:
Two people achieve pain relief faster and more efficiently with better and longer lasting results.
How soon until I notice results:
Most people get some relief in the first few techniques. It is not uncommon to be pain free after your first workout, but it depends on how hard you stretch out your pain, and how deeply the pain is embedded in your body.
How often:
If your pain is new, you might need a 30-minute mini workout or two. Longer-lasting, deeper pain may need more frequent workouts or for longer periods. Once you're back to "normal", use Rossiter workouts as needed to prevent pain from returning.
When is the Rossiter system NOT recommended:
Because the Rossiter System is a workout, there are times when we cannot recommend it to our clients. You MUST be able to get up and down off the floor WITHOUT ASSISTANCE to adequately perform Rossiter stretches. Instances such as recent surgeries, cortisone injections, broken bones, some medical conditions, medical implants, and prescription medicines may be contraindications for Rossiter workouts.
